Registered Manager
Also known as: RM
The individual registered with the CQC to be legally accountable for the day-to-day running of a regulated service. Most services must have a registered manager as a condition of registration.

Nominated Individual
A director, manager or secretary of the provider organisation who is responsible for supervising the way regulated activities are managed. Required where the provider is an organisation rather than an individual.
Statement of Purpose
A document, required by the CQC, that sets out a provider’s aims and objectives, the regulated activities provided, and the locations from which they are delivered. It must be kept up to date and available to the CQC.
