Live-in Care
Live-in care has its own risks: lost rest, day rates that slip under the minimum wage and gaps when a carer goes on leave. Manage placements, rotation, handovers, pay checks and charges in the same system as your care records.
Placements, people and pay in one place.
Each placement records who the carers are, the rotation pattern, the agreed pay basis and who funds the care. Carers log handovers, breaks and night disturbances on their phone. Managers see where rest is being lost, whether the day rate stays above the National Minimum Wage after any accommodation offset, and who covers when a carer is off.
Everything a live-in placement needs
Built for UK live-in care providers, with plain-English guidance on pay and employment rights.
Placements & rotation
Each placement holds the carers, the rotation pattern (carers rotate in the order you list them), review date and contract status.
Carer handovers
Structured handovers when carers change over, so the next carer knows what has changed for the person.
Break & night log
Carers record the daily break and any night disturbances. Missed breaks and broken nights are flagged for the manager.
Minimum wage day-rate check
Converts weekly or monthly pay to a day rate and checks it against the National Minimum Wage, allowing for the accommodation offset and any daily average agreement.
Charges by funder
Council, ICB, private and mixed funding, client contributions, invoice frequency and margin against your target.
Employment rights & law
Working time opt-out, weekly rest plan, holiday, statutory sick pay and pension auto-enrolment explained in plain English, with carer accommodation checks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which plan includes live-in care?+
Live-in care is part of the MyCareManagement module and is switched on by default. It can be switched off in your feature settings if you do not provide live-in care.
Does it work out pay for me?+
It checks the day rate you enter against the National Minimum Wage, allowing for the accommodation offset. It is a guide to help you spot problems, not legal or payroll advice.
Who can record breaks and handovers?+
Any signed-in carer can record daily logs and handovers. Setting up placements and time-off cover is for managers.
Are the statutory rates kept up to date?+
Yes. The minimum wage, accommodation offset, sick pay and auto-enrolment figures are updated each April when the new rates take effect.

Referral decision pack
For each open referral: needs, registration scope, staff skills, compatibility, funding and open questions, then the manager decision with a reason and a transition plan. Recommendation only – the manager decides.
Notification helper
Suggests whether an incident may need a CQC or Ofsted notification and shows a countdown. It never files anything for you.
AI form builder and note summaries
Describe or paste a form and AI drafts it for you to check. Summaries of 2 to 8 weeks of daily notes, approved by a manager.
Home calendar and units
Appointments, visits and reviews in month, week or day view, and floors or units grouped within a bigger home.
Scores and judgements in the software are indicative self-assessments, not CQC ratings or Ofsted judgements. AI output is a draft for a person to check; it never makes decisions or files anything for you.
Live-in care on the same record
Placements sit beside care plans, rota, training and finance, so a live-in service is audited and evidenced like every other service you run.
